Adelaide City – Double funding equals double the climate change action

The State Government will match Adelaide City Council funding that provides incentive
payments to businesses and households that install energy storage and efficiency solutions. Under Adelaide City Council’s Sustainable City Incentives Scheme, up to $5,000 is offered to drive investment in solar PV with energy storage, energy efficiency and electric vehicle charging points.“This commitment effectively doubles the opportunity for more people in the Adelaide city area to invest in technologies that reduce carbon emissions and energy use,” said Climate Change Minister Ian HunterClick For Full Statement |

Energy storage systems coupled with an onsite solar photovoltaic system are eligible for up to 50% of the installed system cost to a maximum of $5,000 (plus the existing rebate on PV).The energy storage rebate is based on deliverable energy from the system, to be calculated using the following formula:
Rebate = kWh discharge per cycle (at manufacturer’s depth of discharge) x lifetime discharge cycles (EOL 80%) x $0.15/kWhIt is recommended applicants contact their electricity retailer or SA Power Networks prior to purchase to determine any impacts. » Download the energy storage incentive form |
